I am allergic to waxing & have been a frequent threader the last 4 years. I have been faithfully commited to a person in miramar. I had heard about the House Of Beauty but i couldn't find myself to cheat on my lady. I desperately needed my whole face done. I took my sisters advice & decided to take a chance... OMG!!! I found the solution to my problem it was an awesome experience! Sita was incredible! She is extremely talented & knows what she is doing. I'm so glad i decided to take a chance.. I am now going to be a faithful client.
If you have never gotten threaded this is a must do experience.. It is the most precise way of removing hair & very detailed. Yes a little painful... But ladys DONT FORGET.... BEAUTY IS PAIN!! It hurts to be beautiful, so suck it up & ask for Sita!

I went early this week and brought along my sister since I didn't want to go alone as this is my first time getting my eyebrows threaded. We got in the store and was told by the man sitting behind the counter to wait for 2 minutes. Alas, it was my turn. This lady called me in to sit down and talked to me on how I wanted my eyebrows done. I told her that I always get my eyebrows waxed. I told her that I want arches and I want her to keep the middle eyebrow hair trimmed (type of bushy in the middle, hard to clean and in waxing people always just pluck it out which doesn't look nice afterwards). Anyways, she talked me on how sterile and safe eyebrow threading is and she also told me not to worry as I am in good hands! I closed my eyes and she started working on my right eyebrow. She gave me a mirror to see the difference of what eyebrows look like getting it threaded versus getting it waxed. When she got done with my left eyebrow all I can was WOW! I was very amazed that I finally have the Kim Kardashian eyebrows that I've always wanted! Beautifully arched and very clean!
My sister was very happy with her results as well. We are in love with our eyebrows that we can't stop looking in the mirror! :)
When I was ready to pay for our eyebrows the gentleman behind the counter asked how our experience was. I told him it's wonderful and that we are beyond satisfied with our results! He was delighted and he introduced us to their membership cards-after 9 visits, you get the 10th one free! :) And of course, both of us asked for separate cards. We also got the Get 1 Free 1 coupon from the owner that we get to use for our next visit!

Fast and great results. I've been here twice in the last two months and I won't go anywhere else. The first time I came I had the older lady and she did a stupendous job, she even gave me the bring a friend coupon for the next time. And boy did I bring her a friend! Instead of the 9 bucks usually (which isn't bad at all) we paid 6 bucks total! 3 dollar eyebrows ladies!! She even recycled the coupon and gave it right back to my friend so that she could use it also haha, way to go green. Well the second time, I had the younger girl and the results didn't amaze me, but they got the job done. Definitely going to stick with the older lady next time though.
Located on the second floor of Chula Vista Mall, DO NOT go into the nail shop that is right next door, they do threading too for cheap (been there done that-read my review on Solar Nails) stick to the experts at House of Beauty.

I have to say that threading my eyebrows has been the best thing ever. Waxing can not compare to treading once you do it you will never go back to waxing. I have to thank Sita for the great job that she does. She is great and I can highly recomend her for your eyebrows.

WOOOOW I got the full-face threaded and the pain was SOO well-worth it! Sabi was the girl who did it and she is REALLy good at it :) She was very patient with me b/c I kept moving around. It was my first time and I will definitely be back. I definitely recommend this place! :D NO MORE WAX woHoOo!

I was told about eyebrow threading and House of Beauty by a friend and at first i was hesitant to try it out but once i did i loved it immediately! Wax irritates my skin too much and causes me to breakout no matter what i would do to prevent it. The ladies at House of Beauty are experts and thanks to them i LOVE my eyebrows now! They fixed my shape and helped me realize that i was not doing a good job plucking them. My favorite lady to go to is Sita. From the very first time she threaded my eyebrows i noticed what i great job she does. I like my eyebrows to looks clean and trimmed but not too thin and its exactly what she does for me. I don't trust going anywhere else for my eyebrows anymore!

This place is amazing! I have been coming here since they opened and refer everyone that likes threading over waxing. If your nervous or sensative you have to see Sita. She is amazing. It had been over a month since my last visit and my eyebrows where furry. No really Furry. Sita is VERY gentle. I barely felt a thing. I will ALWAYS use her. I've always wanted to get my eyebrows threaded but there wasn't a place near where I lived and accomodated to my busy schedule until now. Enter House of Beauty.
I took the advice of other Yelpers ( THANK YOU for all the comments and coupons ladies!) and made it a mission to try it out. I dragged my hesistant boyfriend with me cause I took advantage of the 2 for $6 deal, walked in and met with Shelly.
She did an awesome job on beautifying my brows and I was impressed with how fast and accurate she was with just a piece of thread! She asked me how I like it done, thick or thin, and went at it. Usually when I get them waxed, the ladies never ask, they always assume it to be thin and I had to let them know I liked it natural so her asking made me feel good she cared about how I liked it. Never had I walked out happy with getting my brows done. It also helps I didn't have to end my day there and go straight home to avoid the questioning looks from people from my red puffy eyes!
My boyfriend was also happy with how his turned out and how painless it was compared to getting them waxed. Shelly made sure not to have his brows look feminine.

Threading at the House of Beauty is fast, painless and cheap. My eyebrows look awesome!
When my friend Elsa and I showed up, waiting to use our BOGO (buy one get one free) coupon, there was just one girl ahead of us. As we waited, the remaining seats quickly filled up. There had to be, at least, 10 other people waiting. It spoke volumes, in regards to popularity.
The only thing that got me was the fact that the younger girl that I got was chatting on her iPhone, during my session. So, at times, I couldn't tell if she was talking to me or to the person on the phone. Hey, as long as she doesn't thin out my eyebrows too much, it's all good.
Also, though I didn't experience any pain, while threaded, the areas that got threaded did feel itchy, afterwards.
In the end, I paid $3 for my eyebrows and another $5 to clean up the tiny hairs on my upper lip. Cuz you know, girls with 'staches is no bueno. =P

Yeah, I was feeling pretty lazy about making my way up to Miramar from the South Bay and my sister mentioned this place. I had a bad experience at that one spot @ Plaza, so I was a little leary. Thanks to YELP, I took my chances and was pleased. Twice. I'm almost ready to commit. hahaha
It hurts a little more than what I'm used to from my overall threading experiences, but for the price (LA/OC prices, yes!) and convenience of it all... a few seconds of that scraping feeling is nothing. They also have a stamp card!!!! =P

Found a coupon for this place in the Get 1 Free magazine, so a friend and I threw caution to the wind and tried it.
I'd heard that threading was less painful than waxing, but following the experience, may I just say that we both needed a good stiff drink to take the edge off! Yeeeowwwch! I think the reason it hurt so much is because they didn't use any topical numbing cream like waxing places do, so I definitely felt it more.
Buuuut... all that pain was worth it -- my brows look great! And for only $3! Such a deal! I will return, but I will bring my own numbing cream and/or a strip of leather to bite down on to muffle my screams. No. No. -- I kid. It wasn't *quite* that bad.
Also on the plus side, it was an extremely fast process, the women were very nice and I enjoyed listening to them talk to each other in their musical native tongue (Punjabi?) while they worked their magic on my friend and me.
Things they could do better: Numbing cream, please! Also, I had a LOT of little hairs on me when we were all finished and I'm not really a very hairy person (honest). Maybe a small lint roller to remove the hair and/or a large soft brush to sweep over one's face.
Give it a try. I think you'll like it.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE.....i had never gotten my eyebrows threaded and decided to try it...took yelps advice and used the $3 off coupon and got my eyebrows done for $6 and upper lip done for $5...it was more painful than waxing for me but after a while got use to it...the lades were so nice and made the experience that much better for me...AND MY EYEBROWS TURNED OUT EXCELLENT just how i like them not too thin.

I walked in and was immediately hooked up. No one does your brows quite as well as House of Beauty!!! I now have perfectly shaped and incredibly beautiful eyebrows!
...only complaint is that I had a hell of a time finding them because I've never been to the mall and ended up walking through the entire Sears store. Can't hold that against them though!!

After years of effing up my own eyebrows, I finally decided to get them threaded. It's quite a drive from UTC, but well worth it. I walked right in and Sita had me sit down and asked me how I wanted them done. She shaped them for me, something that I just can't do!!! After she was done, she showed me what she had done and told me what still needed to grow out so she can continue shaping them in the future. The experience was quick and cheap. Less painful than waxing. It was less than 10! I'll be coming back here regularly.
Ask for Sita!! I highly recommend her!

If that's not convincing enough, threading wont burn or remove any of that sensitive skin by you eyebrows and will spare you that discolored patch surrounding your eyebrows! (Just admit it, you get it too!)

So I went back today since I was due for another threading, and a different girl ended up threading my eyebrows since the one that I normally go to was already busy with another customer.
She did a great job! I made sure to ask her name. Her name was Shelly and I recommend her because she was very precise in cleaning up my eyebrows, getting rid of all the little unwanted hairs while still maintaining it's natural shape. It surprised me when she took a tissue and began to wipe off the fallen hair HERSELF after she was done with my right eye, and then did the same with my left. Also, what made me even more happy was that she used a cotton ball and wiped toner to soothe my eyebrows when she was finished... without me having to ask her! (I complained about them not doing both of these things before, in my previous review.) Hence, House of Beauty has earned an extra star. =)
Next time you come to House of Beauty, ask for Shelly... she will not disappoint!

I tried out this place because I wanted to go to a threading place that was less than a 15 minute radius from where I live. This place did an awesome job on my eyebrows. Plus, it only cost nine dollars! The place I usually go cost 12 dollars.
This place is located in the second story of the Chula Vista Mall. Most people don't know about this place because it is new. The also offer upper lip, chin, and full face. If you want your eyebrows, upper lip, and chin threaded it cost $17. Full face cost $25. Other services include body waxing (underarm, legs, arms, bikini, Brazilian), facials, and henna tattoo.

I have had my eyebrows threaded once before by work. I was not super pleased, they didn't make them as thin as I asked however I shared with my friend who suggested this place. Her brows always looked so good and she said this place would take care of me and do exactly what I asked. I have sensitive skin so whenever I had them waxed they turned red and were very painful. What a great shop, the ladies there are all very nice and super friendly. They do a really good job and I am so happy, no more red brows for a couple of hours. I have not returned to waxing since and always suggest this place to everybody!! It's quick, easy, and way more sanitary than that hot wax that has been used on people's nether region!! Think about it, they don't give you new wax every time; however this place gives you new thread every time!!

The first question they asked is "okay how do you want your eybrows to look" Last place i went jus started waxing eyebrow and well...didn't come out great.
Wanted to try getting eyebrows threaded for awhile now. So when i saw this place decided to try. Was something new and guess what, I perfered it to getting eyebrows waxed. The main think was skin was not sensitive the next day like with waxing. Eyebrows come out great, definately going back.

This place is Awesome! I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time and it's definitely going to be my thing from now on. No more eyebrow waxing! This procedure was not only hygienic and thorough, It's also very precise and the results are beautiful. Best of all, I didn't get a rash (I have sensitive skin and I always get a rash when I wax) I also had the best beautician ever perform my threading. Her name is Sita (ask for her) and I told her it was my first time and she was totally patient and talked me through the whole thing. She asked how I heard of them and I showed her that they are on Yelp (she'd never seen the site) and she was beyond thrilled! I even got a hug goodbye and a coupon for my next visit. I am definitely coming back and bringing my friends! I love how my eyebrows look! They haven't looked this nice in a LONG time. Also the price was very reasonable. Yes, I'm a fan. Sita, you rock!!! This place is the BEST! I was first recommended by a friend, but hesitated because it's a twenty minute drive from where I live. Now I have no complaints! I've been coming to Sita at House of Beauty for several months now, and my eyebrows have never looked so good! I had overplucked them years ago and was never able to grow them out to be even again. Sita has done a great job shaping and evening out my eyebrows over the last several months. She gets the small hairs, doesn't make my eyebrows too thin, and gives them a nice natural shape. She does a great job on my lip, too.

i was going to the salon in the riverside area. i was tired of driving every two weeks. i was so glad when i found the salon in chula vista. i love this place. all of the ladies are great, but sita is the one for me. i was tired of getting my eyeborws waxed at the nail shop. they had started messing up my eyebrows so bad until they looked jacked up, but when i met sita she worked her fingers and string. i recommend you go to sita at the house of beauty.

This place is great for brow threading (their specialty,) and is one of the most reasonably priced places I found in the whole county. It's conveniently located in the center of the Chula Vista Mall, and there was no need for an appointment. The women were VERY nice and answered all of my questions before starting. They even have a frequent buyer card!
